The Best Teacher I Ever Had

That is a link to a petition to help save the best professor I ever had.  Doug Joiner is one of the most valuable assets my alma mater and my town have.  He is a communications and theatre professor.  He taught many classes that were cross-listed with English (my major) and Theatre (which became my minor because of him).  He is the only professor in my entire college career that truly made me feel good about my abilities (well, wait, I guess about 5 actually did that through the whole time, but he did it the most).  He approached me about furthering my education.  He praised my work.  He took time out of his life to help a former student with other text books and offering to discuss findings.  He is an inspiration.
If you were his student, please sign and/or email.  If you werent, but you just think this is the kind of professor that students deserve, go ahead and sign.


He joked with us almost every day that he knew things because he was “BRILLIANT!” but even if he didn’t remind us every day, he would have been reminding us every day.  he truly is brilliant.  He deserves to be treated so much better than he currently is.
